Gozo Island; Tranquility of A Peaceful Vacation

Gozo is one of the Maltese archipelago, situated in the Mediterranean. The island is less crowded than the neighboring island of Malta and is greener than the larger main island.

There is no airport, passengers are transported by ferry or helicopter. The only 2 resorts on the island are on the south and north east coast, namely, Xlendi and Marsalforn. Both towns are in a bay and have a small promenade / boardwalk. Both are fishing villages of origin, which has grown to modest resorts.

Gozo is mainly visited by tranquility, as mass tourism is not on the island and the facilities for tourists are mostly simple. In the interior are some, though not authentic accommodations set up in the form of a so-called farmhouse. Gozo has a large number of churches and from the port Ghajnsielem (Mgarr) a main road leading to the central, vibrant capital city Victoria.

The environment is very beautiful with clear blue bays and Gozo is ideal for those seeking peace. The island is ideal for beautiful walks through the majestic valleys with beautiful scenery.

Beautiful sandy beach in Gozo

On the north coast of the island of Gozo is Ramla Bay beach, a beautiful sandy beach. There are a few small beaches and coves along the coastline to find. If you are good looking you may find a private beach. Mass tourism is not here, so the facilities for tourists are usually straight-forward.

Transportation and culture in Gozo

When you go on holiday to Gozo is advisable to rent a car there. There are also taxis, but very few and relatively expensive. The island is very beautiful to themselves and to explore the sights of the island. Visit the impressive ruins of the Ggantija temples. This temple is built is 2800 BC, you should certainly have seen.
