Mexico Cancun, Caribbean Beaches and Isla Mujeres Vacation Review – 2

[Continuing, Part 2] On the northwest (should be the northwest) corner of the island, there is a resort right on the Caribbean ocean; and right before that hotel, you will see an astonishing lagoon divided into to by the deck that goes to the resort. The lagoon is opening to the Caribbean sea at the end and has absolutely beautiful beautiful beach. You could park your golf cart and walk to that beach, swim for a while and dry up a little and go on to your trip on the island that is guided by your own lost self. You will love it…

There are some really wonderful bars and hotels that you might wanna visit or stay in. I guess the biggest hotel resort complex of Northern tip of Isla Mujeres is MIA Avalon Reef Club resort; and if you would like something like a condo and a cheaper place to stay, Hotel Villa Kiin is right across MIA Reef Club Resort. If you can check the picture, you will see that there is the lagoon in the middle of both on the right side of the walk and drive way to MIA Reef Club Resort.

And on the left side of the drive way, there is another beautiful lagoon and another astonishing beach where there is the MIA Reef Club resort on one side of it, and the Fenix Beach Club on the other side. You could take a break from your trip around Islam Mujeres, swim and enjoy the beach and the sun, and then go to Fenix Club and drink something before you go on to your golf cart drive around Isla Mujeres.

Like I said in my previous post, you really do not need any map or guide to go around Isla Mujeres. Actually, you could obtain a map while on the ferry or when you arrive on the island; it might prove helpful, though, all you need to do is to drive, just drive! That golf cart at your service, you could stop at where ever you want, take a break at any time you want.

On the southern of the island, there is a small lighthouse and a park at where you will also find a Bar & Seafood place called Acantilado. You must see that view! You absolutely must! There is a 3 dollar entrance fee to the park along the cliffs, should be a big deal; especially compared to what you will see around, that price is nothing. There are some interesting artworks around and you should walk by the edge of cliff to witness the majestic! At the end of the cliff, there is also a walkway down to the beach.

On the way back, or before going for a walk in the park, you could stop by Acantilado Seafood & Bar and have something to drink or eat. A really big glass of margarita will cost you around ten dollars, though. The Caribbean view around is priceless! Absolutely priceless!

There are several other activities that you can experience on Isla Mujeres. You will see on the tourist map of Isla Mujeres for what activity is where exactly on the island. Diving, sight seeing, restaurants etc. Then just be your own captain and ride…

One last advice about Isla Mujeres; the last ferry back to the mainland is at around 5 to 5.30 p.m. depending what company’s ferry it will be. But most people wait to the last moment to take the ride back to the mainland, so the passenger line extends outside the area and exceeds over the street right before 5 p.m.

So, either you should be there about 20 mins before 5 to be on the front side of the line or just take the ferry at around 4.30 p.m.
